Caicle for Mac is the workspace you know from the browser, in a native app. Agent runs stream live, a macOS notification tells you when a bulk research run or an agent run finishes, and a menu-bar shortcut starts a lookup from any app. It needs macOS 13 or later and runs natively on Apple silicon and Intel.
Install the app
- 1Open caicle.io/download and click Download for Mac.
- 2Open the downloaded file and drag Caicle into your Applications folder.
- 3Open Caicle from Applications. Release builds are signed with our Apple Developer ID and notarised by Apple: the first time you open one, macOS confirms that Apple checked it for malicious software, and you click Open. While the download page marks the build as a preview, it is not yet notarised: macOS asks you to allow it once, and the download page shows how.
Sign in and link your workspace
The app never sees your password. It receives its own access, tied to this Mac, and keeps it encrypted with a key held in the macOS Keychain.
- 1Click Sign in. Caicle opens your default browser.
- 2Sign in as you always do, for example with your password manager. If you are already signed in, the browser skips this step.
- 3Check the Mac's name and the workspace on the approval page, then click Approve.
- 4Your browser asks whether to open Caicle. Allow it. If nothing happens, click Didn't open? on the approval page.
- 5The app comes to the front and opens on your Overview.
Revoke a Mac
Open Settings, Devices in the console. Every Mac signed in to your account is listed with its name, app version and when it was last seen. Revoke a Mac to sign it out and stop its access. Owners and admins can see and revoke the Macs of every member, and changing or resetting your password on the web signs out all of your Macs.
Then the Mac app has not been released yet. Until then, the same workspace, with live agent runs, research and reports, already works in your browser, and it will be waiting in the app when it ships.
